Stolen Car Recovered

Sheriffs deputies found a stolen car early yesterday, several days after it was reported missing. In the interim someone had stolen some items from inside it. Deputies took a report Wednesday night from Fabiola Santana of Wilkesboro, who said her brother had borrowed her 94 Honda Accord Saturday to go to a friend's house in rural North Wilkesboro. Her brother spent the night, according to the crime report, and when he woke up found the car missing. He had no idea who might have taken it. A deputy on routine patrol saw the car about 1am yesterday at the Moravian Falls Post Office. Someone had stolen the car title from the glove box and taken out the CD player. The car has been returned to Cervantes and the case remains under investigation.
