Tourist Trade from Closer to Home This Year

The high gas prices are having an effect on our area's tourist economy. Horn in the West, which is in its 57th summer, is one of the lead attractions in the area. Wilkes Native Wes Martin plays lead character Daniel Boone, and he says the mix of people attending this year is quite different than in the previous 10 years he'd been involved with the show:





He spoke with 3WC's Angela Henley this week concerning a special event at Horn in the West -- Wilkes County Days, which are this weekend. Simply by showing your ID, Wilkes residents can get into the show for half price this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
