NY Woman Arrested for Shoplifting

Wilkesboro police have arrested a 23-year old woman from New York City, after she allegedly stole more than 300-dollars worth of jewelry form Kohl's here. It was reported Monday morning a bit after 10, by the security personnel at Kohl's. Security personnel had been watching Jessica Isabella for about an hour and a half, they said. She would walk by the jewelry department, causally try something on, and walk off still wearing it. She put the tags or boxes back on the shelf empty. When she was confronted, the woman gave back some of the items, but did not return the rest, claiming she no longer had them. The security officer showed Isabella the tape of her stealing the jewelry. While she continued to deny having any of the rest of the jewelry, a search of her at the jail proved otherwise, and all of it ended up being returned to Kohl's. She is charged with a single count of theft, according to the arrest report, and was jailed in lieu of a 1-thousand dollar secured bond.
